Best Places to Shop for Scene, Punk, and Emo Clothes
If you're like me, and constantly crave the band tees, then this next list of places should satisfy your needs. These places you've probably heard of before, and some maybe you haven't. But I guarantee that you'll find all new band tees, scene outfits, emo wear, music, hoodies, skateboards, skater shoes, etc. at most of these locations. So after this I suggest you hit up the mall and see what you can find. The variety's vast and the number of bands out there is growing, so your choice of fashion representing the music industry should be growing too.
It's every scene/emo/goth/punk kid's dream. Even the aspiring scene adults out there. Whatever you're looking for, Hot Topic probably has it. From band tees to music CD's, Super Mario apparel to chrome belts, this place has got it all. (And a little bit more) They've recently changed their logo, to express the fact that they're opening their musical horizons, hoping to appeal to a more general audience than just the scene and goth kids. But don't worry, they'll still have the metal bands and screamo groups. They even keep up to date with teen spotlight things like the Twilight series (and even Justin Beiber). So you can expect to find exactly what you're looking for. Just be careful. This place has got so much goods that you might be going in and never coming out...
Not only does Zumiez have the latest band tees and scene apparel, but they've got shoes, backpacks, belts, even snowboards and related items too! This place is a local paradise to those with a larger social and recreational horizons. Don't get me wrong, this still is a great place to get some scene apparel. It may not seem like a top choice, but they definitely have some treasure waiting for you inside. They even have their own website where you can place orders on anything from band tees to skateboards, and get your stuff shipped to you fast. Whatever you need, you'll probably find better deals online. Or maybe in the store. Who knows? Just whatever you do, check this place out.
It may not seem like the obvious choice for the aspiring scene individual, but Urban Outfitters has a vast variety of fashion and outfits to make even the pickiest of shoppers happy. Straying a little bit away from the obvious, Urban Outfitters has what it takes to fulfill your scene/goth/emo look any day of the week. The only catch? Their fashion is subtle, which means that you'll have to pick out yourself what you believe will make a suitable outfit to represent your inner fashion sense. Purple skinny jeans on your list? Urban Outfitters has got it. They might not have the greatest variety of band tees, but they definitely carry enough fashion sense to get your scene identity rolling.
Another not so obvious choice, but the same concept applies to this store as the one shown above. American Apparel may not be the first choice for your fashion preferences, but once again, the variety they offer gives you a bit more free space to experiment with different looks. If you know what you're looking for, and the type of outfits/looks you're hoping to achieve, then American Apparel should be on your hit-list in the future. If you can't find anything at the more obvious stores, like Hot Topic or Zumiez, then I suggest you hit up places like this and give it a look-around.
A promising store with promising fashion trends, rue 21 is a teen paradise and a surefire way to grab some fast scene/punk outfits. This place teems with all kinds of graphic tees and various teen styles, so although the entire theme of the place is not that of goth or punk origin. It might not be a Hot Topic, but just because the place looks like another Aeropostale wannabe doesn't mean it doesn't hold some goodies for your fashion desires. Trust me and give the place a well-deserved check-in. You might be surprised at what you find.
We've left the best for last? Perhaps. Spencer's not only offers some of the latest scene/punk/emo clothing out there, but they also have a lot of extra goodies, intimate apparel, posters, shoes, joke items, black-lights...it seems like they have everything. So if you're looking for a bit more besides the fashion and clothing, I suggest that you give Spencer's a chance. There have been some debates on whether Spencer's or Hot Topic is the better store. So if you like Hot Topic, don't be a traitor. Just kidding. It doesn't matter which one you go to, both have plenty of goodies to offer, but Spencer's should definitely be on your list of places to go in the future.
So there you have it. The best places to satisfy your scene/punk/emo/whatever fashion. These are the best places to hit up whenever you're at the mall or looking for some new clothes to add to your wardrobe. Also note, there's bunches on top of bunches of websites online that you can search for that have great deals on band tees and emo apparel. Google search and I'm sure you prayers will be answered. But still, the next time you're at the mall, keep your eyes peeled for these stores that I mentioned, and make sure to at least take some time to look through their awesome selection. I promise, you won't regret it.
