While pocket protectors are generally considered the type of accessory that only geeks and nerds use, the truth is that anyone with a pocket can benefit from the regular use of a pocket protector.

I will admit that I myself own several pocket protectors and I use them every day at work. I didn't always do this, however, and for a while, I would take my shirts to the laundry full of pen marks because I kept forgetting to retract the pen(s) inside my pocket; they would leak all over the place. What a mess!

But then I decided to buy a pocket protector, actually many pocket protectors, and since then, the inside of my pockets couldn't be cleaner and more free of pen streaks!

If you're thinking that this all sounds rather geeky, you're right. Let's be honest here, one probably does need to get in touch with his or her geeky side in order to buy a pocket protector and to actually wear it. This is perfectly okay though because it is very trendy these days to be seen as a nerd. Take a look at the success of The Big Bang Theory, for example!

The point is that it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks anyway. It's your pocket and you can do what do you want to do!

How long will your pocket protector last?

Well, that depends on how often you tend to leave your pens open, ballpoint down in your pocket. A good idea would be to buy several pocket protectors so that you can change them frequently as they begin to get covered in pen marks.

Remember, while you can clean your pocket protector more easily than your pocket beneath it, that sooner or later you will have to throw you pocket protector out and replace it. Good luck! Oh yeah, and pocket protectors make great stocking stuffers too!
