Valentine's Day Gift for Her: Insect Brooches

While I was doing my research on Valentine’s Day gift that a woman would appreciate, I came across a collection of brooches and was so amazed by the exquisite insect brooches that I saw. I told myself, ‘These items are worth another hub and hmmn, worth collecting, too”. I am an insect enthusiast and there could be thousands out there that share my fascination with insects. These are really nice gifts to get for a friend or items to collect for your own appreciation.

Grasshopper Brooch Pin

From the order Orthoptera, here is ruby crystal rhinestone grasshopper insect brooch pin.  Metal setting is in antique brass tone with detailed flutings, adorned with ruby Czech crystal rhinestone.  Get it immediately and don’t let it jump away!

Praying Mantis Brooch Pin

Praying mantis from the order Mantodea is represented here by the Indigo Blue Mantis Crystal Rhinestone Insect Pin Brooch. The unique shape and design make it an excellent accessory. It is decorated with iridescent clear crystal rhinestone and a large acrylic bead. You can match this with a blue dress or a white one with blue embellishments. It’s time you allow yourself to fall prey to this astonishing creation.

Dragonfly Brooch Pin

Dragonflies from the order Odonata are equally stunning. Shown are two-gold plated and hand enameled dragonfly brooches. You can choose between orange and brown, both perfectly toned with yellow. Both color combinations harmonize well with the gold plated setting. The third dragonfly is so dazzling with its beautiful hues. This can be worn in almost any occasion.

Beetle Brooch Pin

Beetles from the order Coleoptera are naturally colorful and their colors are very well exhibited in these brooches. Some of them even looked so alive and natural. The most famous member of this group is the ladybug but as you can see there is really a wide variety to choose from. Enjoy viewing each one of them, I just did!

Bumblebee Brooch Pin

From the order Hymenoptera, allow me to present the bees. They pollinate our crops, they give us honey and now they will adorn our clothing as lovely brooches and pins. Some of the bee brooches I found do not closely resemble their natural counterparts; rather they are much more stunning than the stinging originals.

Butterfly Brooch Pin

The last and definitely not the least is the favorite of many….the butterflies from the order Lepidoptera. Their colorful expanded wings perfectly fit the idea of prettifying a woman’s clothing as a brooch. I have seen a number of butterfly brooches but not as natural-looking as the yellow swallowtail here. From among the choices, you can go from simple with a single color to multicolored designs. Rhinestone crystals or Swarovski, the choice is yours. Because it is imperative to carefully match your brooch with your wardrobe, I guess one brooch would not suffice a fashionable soul. Let these butterflies alight in your basket and make them join your collection of accessories.
