Dandruff Home Remedy - Use Lemon

If you comb or brush your hair, or scratch your sculp and find shiny, silvery scales falling like snowflakes and settle on the eyebrows, shoulders, and clothes or you find lumps or crusts on the sculp, then you suffer from dandruff in your hair. To cure dandruff or to avoid it you need to read this hub.

How To Deal with Dandruff

To minimize the opportunity of development of dandruff, you should keep the hair and scalp clean so as to reduce the accumulation of dead cells, which may foster fungi and predisposes your hair to be frequently having dandruff.

If you have it in your hair you may try any of the following remedies, they are safe, effective and tried successfully.

Dandruff Fenugreek and Chamomile Remedy

1 TBS Fenugreek seeds
4 TBS Dried Chamomile flowers
1 Cup Water

Procedure:
- Soak Fenugreek seeds and Chamomile flowers in water overnight
- In the morning, blend this mixture in a mixer, it will turn into a sticky paste
- Apply some of the paste all over the scalp and leave for half an hour
- Wash thoroughly using luke water many times to remove it all
- Rinse your hair using a mixture of vinegar and water (1:9)

Beets and Peppermint Dandruff Remedy

3 Beets
4 TBS Dried Peppermint
1 Cup Vinegar
1 L Water

Method:
- Boil the Beets (you may cut them into small parts) and peppermint for 10 minutes
- Leave for 1 hour and then filter
- Add vinegar to the filtrate
- Use the resultant mixture to wash your hair
- Rinse your hair using water

Cream Remedy to Cure Persistent Dandruff

1 TBS Glycerin
12 TBS Grated Soap
4 TBS Dried Thyme
1 TBS Lemon oil


Method:
- Mix glycerin and soap with some water
- Boil the rest of the water and pour them on thyme, and leave for 30 minutes
- Filter the thyme mixture
- Add filtrate to the soap/glycerin mixture, then add lemon oil and mix using a wooden spatula
- Adjust the consistency of the cream with a little boiling water
- Apply some cream on the scalp and massage for 3 minutes to make sure it is well distributed over the whole scalp
- Leave the cream for 10-15 minutes
- Rinse using lukewarm  water to remove any soap traces (repeat if you need to)
- Rinse using vinegar/water mixture (1:9 ratio)

* You may use Thyme soap to reduce the work done. Thyme contains Thymol which is a potent antiseptic, and by virtue it combats any fungi present.

Rosemary and Sage Dandruff Remedy

2 TBS Dried Rosemary
2 TBS Dried Sage
1/2 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar


Procedure:
- Boil the herbs for 10 minutes
- Remove heat and leave for 2 hours
- Filter (using gauze), and to the filtrate add apple vinegar
- Rinse the hair using this mixture without dilution, let the scalp absorb the ingredients
- Dry using a dry toile

This mixture resist dandruff, adds a gloss and a beautiful scent to the hair.

Dandruff Remedy for Oily Hair

4 Lemons peels (grated)
4 Lemons juice
4 drops Thyme oi
1 L Water

- Boil lemon peels for 10 minutes
- Remove heat and leave for 2 hours
- Filter and add lemon juice to the filtrate
- Add thyme oil
- Rinse the hair using the resultant mixture

* For normal hair, dilute with water
