What A Girl Wants - Coach Handbag

Updated on October 7, 2013

Designer Purses

What woman doesn't like a nice purse slung over her shoulder as she walks down the street, and to be the envy of others as she walks by. Girlfriends and passersby will ask, “Where did you get that awesome purse?” To own a designer purse may not be in everyone's budget but we sure would like it to be. There are ways to own a designer purse but it will require some searching and some perseverance to get one.

We all have favorite designers but there is one that produces great quality and that is a purse by Coach.

Coach Handbags

Coach started, as a family-run workshop in a Manhattan loft, were six artisans handcrafted a collection of leather goods. These six used skills handed down from generation to generation and started selling their leather goods in 1941. It seems when you look into a thriving business of today it all started in a loft, in a barn or out of a back of a truck. It's nice to see that dedication; quality work one can be successful and still booming 60 years later.

Today, Coach maintains those high standards that insure that quality is key to keeping customers coming back for more. Their products cover a wide spectrum of leather goods from purses, luggage, wallets, and briefcases. They even sell other products that are not made of leather ranging from eye-wear, scarves, gloves and fragrances. They are in 970 department store locations in the US, 211 international department stores, and also located in duty free shops in over 20 countries. Coach has nearly 500 stores in the United States and Canada with hope of opening more in the future.

Buying a Coach Handbag

If you are budget minded and want to own a Coach handbag I find that one good site to visit when shopping for a deal is ebay. Whether you are looking for a tote, soho, satchel, or a clutch Coach has it and you can probably find something you like on ebay. If you shop ebay for anything by a name brand designer counterfeit goods permeate the Internet. When thinking about buying on ebay look at customer reviews and a site that has been on ebay for some time. A good seller will not risk losing their privileges to sell on ebay.

If you are not into ebay there are usually stores that deal in used designer labels. There are times you may get lucky at a garage sale or a thrift store like Goodwill. Craigslist is also a good resource when buying something used for a bargain price. The one thing that happens in any product that is coveted is rip offs. It is hard to tell the real thing but if the quality is not there it is probably not a Coach handbag. On the Coach website they do tell you where you can buy an authentic Coach item. Coach handbags can range in price from a few hundred to a thousand dollars. If you have the money you can shop on the Coach website or locate a store near you. Also department stores like Dillard’s, and Nordstrom’s are authorized to sell Coach handbags.
