Epsom Salt Acne Solution For Clearer Skin
For anyone who hasn’t had acne, they may just be ‘spots’; however, anyone who has ever suffered from acne will tell you, they can be sore and painful and very likely to sap your confidence. There are many over the counter pharmaceuticals to help to treat acne but there are also a number of simple remedies such as this Epsom salt acne solution.
This remedy is very easy to apply and is also cheap. You may well even have some Epsom salt hanging around at the back of the cupboard if you look carefully.
There are a variety of ways that an Epsom salt acne solution can be made but there is no need to make it complicated.
All you need to do is to dissolve some in water, about 1 tablespoon of salt to 1 of hot water, mix well and dab it onto the face. Do not scrub with the solution as this may irritate the acne, simply dab it on gently using cotton wool.
If you have more time, you could add other skin friendly products such as milk and honey and apply in the same way that you would a facial mask.
This simple Epsom salt acne solution works well to reduce the number of spots and especially works to reduce the redness and swelling so widely associated with acne. It also leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh.
The only real downsides to the treatment is that it is a little messy and can sting if it gets into the eyes – it’s also advisable to avoid getting it in your mouth as it doesn’t taste very nice at all.
You can also add Epsom salt to your bathwater which will help your overall skin. Our bodies contain magnesium and are often deficient in this mineral so an Epsom salt acne bath will help to restore this useful mineral to our bodies. Just add a couple of cups of Epsom salts to a hot-ish bath and soak for at least fifteen minutes before rinsing.
Of course, this treatment does not eliminate the need for a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables along with exercise and plenty of water to flush toxins from the body but this simple Epsom salt acne treatment can certainly help a lot without causing too much expense.
