Jackets

One fall fashion classic that is a foundation for any great wardrobe is the jacket. Made from leather, corduroy or denim, the jacket is a fall essential. As the days grow shorter and the temperatures finally begin to drop, the jacket begins to leap to the front of every closet.

Unlike the pastels and brights of spring jackets, fall jackets should be earthy tones to maintain their classic status. Various shades of brown, black and red are the most timeless. They can be kicked up with a new scarf or a belt, but keeping the jacket in a classic cut of either a bomber style or a blazer means it will be fashionable for years to come.

A black leather bomber jacket gives a woman a mysteriously strong aura, while a brown corduroy lends a more studious look. A traditional blue denim jacket will work into both the casual style of boots and jeans or equally into the bohemian look of a maxi dress. This fall classic is an absolute essential of the first degree! Whether it is dark denim or light, it will work from fall to spring!

Boots

Every great fall wardrobe has several pairs of great boots! Tall shank boots, scrunch boots, hiking boots or just some great cowboy boots are all a must in the fall classic essential department! These can be worn with jeans or skirts or even a calico dress.

Boots keep your feet warm while kicking up the style notch. There are several basic styles that are considered classic. The cowboy boot is one classic look while a low heeled ankle boot is not only a classic now, but it is also comfortable alternative to a tennis shoe. This fall a leg warmer can make any pump look like a boot while keeping warm the leg. It can also give the ankle high bootie boot a warmer, taller shank. Browns and blacks are the classic shades of boots while a red or mahogany lend a newer color twist to the style.

Sweaters

Every fall the sweaters rule the fashion trends. The popularity of thickness and bulk may change from year to year, but the sweater remains a classic. Necklines which are v-necked and those which are rounded tend to be the most common looks that return from year to year. Heavier and bulkier sweaters look best on those with thin builds while thinner and lighter sweaters are more complimentary for those with fuller figures.

Sweater colors and designs may change, but basic colors of browns, grays, blues, reds and plums tend to be popular year after year. Look for seasonal sweaters to continue to be available. There are always those who will look for them to build their emotional ties to the holidays that fall brings out! Sweaters offer layers that will carry them from early to late fall with a quick reach into the closet! Make sure you have several handy!

A plain, solid colored sweater can be a timeless and classic piece for any wardrobe. Designs may or may not carry over year to year, but the solid color will remain. Choosing a classic color will make a palette for accenting with trendy accessories. Take the time to choose something that you will enjoy for years to come.

Jeans

Great jeans are a basic essential to every fall wardrobe! Year to year, the leg width and pocket designs gave jeans a kick or two, but jeans continue to rule throughout fall! A plain pair for the football field and a pair with bling for the dance club keep your fall fashion basics on course! Jeans are timeless. They can be paired with a sweater or a blazer for a classic look or added to a dressy blouse with pearls and you can wear them to the country club! It is all about the fit. It is essential that they fit. Baggy "pants on the ground" looks are too trendy to last, fitted jeans will stay. Grab a pair, add them to a light sweater, kicking boots and a denim jacket and you have a super fall look that will carry you into the street chic crowd to steal the crowd!

The Classics Continue To Rock

These classics continue to rock the looks on the street! Adding accessories which carry some punch of color brings these classic items into fashion forward looks that can be rocked by everyone! An awesome pair of blingy jeans, some kickin' bootie-style boots, a soft and comfy sweater in a burgandy topped with a black leather blazer will turn heads and make you feel like a queen! The fact that you can turn these same items into a great look with next fall's fashion trends gives them a timeless and classic approach. Take the time to find them in styles and shapes that will carry forward. You will appreciate the investment rewards for years to come!
