Alexander Wang adorned models in black and neutral base shades of grey in different textures and fabrics. Metallic finishes were added for a crisp, modern touch on structured coats, jackets, and suits. Although the look was overall very tailored with menswear influences, the materials used were soft and feminine providing an expert balance.

Bold color choices dominated Prada’s collection. Rich tones of sable and gold were combined with cool, bright shades of turquoise and pink. Accessories in gold and silver added finished touches to overcoats and skirts. Material mixtures of fur and wool on most of the styles offered a luxurious feel to the Fall 2013 collection.

Most impressive was the Akris collection ironically done nearly all in black. Models in blends of leather, suede, fur and patent materials on skirts, coats, and suits graced the runway. Abstract shapes and cuts were blended seamlessly with sexy mesh detailing and patterns. Though working in one solid color, the collection left many fashion lovers awe struck.
