Trying to stay fashionable as quickly as the trends change can be expensive! But, not if you know where to get those fashionable clothes for cheap.

Online or in the store, let this "Shopoholic" tell you how to stay up with the stars and trends without maxing out that credit card.

Nautical stripes, high-waisted shorts and pants, off-one-shoulder, racerback tanks, gladiator sandals, skinny jeans, boyfriend and bomber jackets... you name it, you'll probably be able to find at one of these places.

Runway to your closet without the cost!

...and no one is going to know it wasn't from Nordstroms or Ann Taylor unless you tell them!

Charlotte Russe (In Store or Online)

This has been a favorite of many young women for years! This store always keeps up with the current trends, and offers clothes from the casual to the dressy. Charlotte Russe also sells jewelry for great prices, shoes, and even underwear and bras. Almost all items are available in sizes XS to XXL. You will find at least ONE item you can wear and will want to wear!

Here is a trend available:

Every item purchased at Charlotte Russe in the following photos and cost UNDER:

Body Central (Online or Catalog)

This little secret is a gem! Tops, bottoms, dresses, rompers, footwear, accesories... They have great sales, and their website divides clothing up into categories that make it easier to browse for by occasion or style (i.e. "Tops" divided into "Party& Night Out" and "Basics" or "Camis & Tanks" to "Halter Tops"). Even items that are not on sale are at prices to DIE FOR!

Here is a trend available:

Forever 21 (In Store or Online)

Another long-time favorite of young women, Forever 21 has expanded its store with "spin-off" or "sub" stores including one for men (21MEN) and plus size women (Forever21+). They have also created more options for those of us who hit the age of 21 a little while ago (although we will never admit it!) by lengthening the hem on some dresses and skirts, and offering more appropriate choices for the work place in the Love 21 sub-store. If you do not mind rummaging a little, head to one of their locations. But if you prefer a more organized find, their website will probably be a better bet for you.

Ross (In Store)

This "discounted brand" store is found in 27 states. If it is not in your state, look for any store that sells name brands on a discount (i.e. Goody's, Marshalls, or T.J. Maxx).

Don't be too proud or afraid to go into one of these stores! It can take some good browsing and digging to find something, but it is always worth it! Guess heels originally $95 for $32 is definitely hard to beat. Some of the brands may not be names you recognize, but every tag will inform you of the original price and the price you pay at the store. And you'll always be pleased at the savings!

Every item purchased at Ross in the following photo and cost UNDER:

$20 for the dresses

$32 for the shoes

Wedges ($15), Summer Dress ($10), Guess Suede Pumps ($32), Two-Tone Belted Dress ($15), and Dollhouse Gladiator Wedges ($19).

Target (In Store or Online)

Many know Target for their low prices for household items, pharmacy, food, and even furniture. But what about their clothes? When looking for some of the latest trends, not very often do you hear someone say they are going to go look at Target. But maybe they should! Just take a walk through their clothing department, and you may just be surprised.

Here is a trend available:

Every item purchased at Target in the following photo and cost UNDER:

$20

Woven Detail Cap Sleeve Top (coral), Racerback Tank (grey with floral detail), Nautical Pancho Style Top (blue and white stripes), Gladiator-style Sandals, Deep-V Jersey Dress (red), and Floral Graphic Tee (green).

H&M (In Store)

This store has been making appearances on television and magazines ads, but is still working to expand across the U.S. Online shopping is not yet available for Americans, but let's hope it is soon because this place is fabulous!!!

Some articles of clothing are located on the deeper end of your wallet (still cheaper than what the celebs buy), but they have many selections for decent prices. It would be a good idea to go to their website and see if there is one close to you or a friend who could shop for you!

I too agree with your choice of stores! Charlotte Russe, H&M, Ross, Target - i totally love them too. In fact, I really liked Old Navy. I saved so much buying from their clearance section. And amazingly, I still wear many of their tops, although it's been 2 years since I got them. (yes, I wear them very very often).

Welcome to hubpages!

Thank you, Charlotte! I agree with Old Navy. I have quite a bit of clothing from there as well. :-)
