My Favorite Places To Shop

A few years ago, I decided I wanted to drastically change my style. Before then, I really had no personal style. I was wearing clothes, and wanted to express myself with clothes, but I simply didn't know how. So, I called upon a few friends and decided to learn how to dress myself. We went all over, and though I only had a very limited budget, I learned what I liked, what looked good on me, and how I wanted to present myself.

Getting dressed everyday can be a wonderful artistic expression of yourself. And I realized how much I really, truly enjoyed this self-expression. I never had this creative outlet before and it was mainly because I needed to learn how. No better teacher than a girlfriend whose style you love.

So, with all that being said, here are some of my favorite places to shop.

1. Anthropologie - This place has such unique items. I have some dresses and jewelry from there that I constantly get comments on because it's hard to find anything else like it. To me, it feels as special designer clothes, but it's much less expensive.

2. Stores Similar To Anthropologie - Now, Anthropologie is not an inexpensive place at all! I've bought dresses on sale there for 100 bucks. Now, for what I got, it was worth it. But I do not live on an Anthropologie budget. I live more on a Forever 21 budget. So, I've realized that a there are places like Anthropologie. Like ShopRuche.com. And ModCloth.com. These are great places to check out! Or, little boutiques in your area! Some of them can be expensive, but some of them have prices no higher than Forever 21 or H&M.

3. Gap - Gap is my go-to for all the basics. Right now, most of my jeans are from Gap. And the best part, they have ridiculously awesome sales! Rule of thumb, never pay more than $50 for a pair of jeans because they'll always (and I do mean always) go on sale.

4. H&M - Not sure if you have an H&M in your area, but if you do this is a great place for everything! In addition to men, women, and children's clothing they have swimsuits, purses, accessories, undergarmets, etc. And the fit of these clothes are very current, so you'll always be in style.
