How to cut a chin level bob hair cut at home

Different kinds of bob hair cuts are now available. The popularity of bob hair cuts still remain the same because there is definitely a bob hair cut that would suit any face shape or any age group. It can be modified to suit a person’s personality as well. The “Chin level Bob haircut” is one among them. It is a short hair cut in which the hair is usually cut straight around the head up to the chin.

Few things like face shapes, age and level of maintenance required should be kept in mind while going for a chin level bob haircut. These are the factors which help to determine whether this hair style suits your face or not. This hair cut is most suitable for girls with slightly longer face. It helps to shorten the longer face and gives a round appearance. It’s the most suitable hair style that provides your features with a cute frame as well as an ultra chic definition. But it’s advisable for those who have round face to avoid such a haircut as their face would look rounder. Chin-level Bob hair styles should be selected by those who would like to spot their next haircut challenge.

Hair cut Instructions and Tools

Main Tools required

  • Scissors
  • Spray bottle containing water
  • Fine tooth comb
  • Hair clips

Instructions

Step1: Dampen the hair and comb it to remove any knots.

Step2: Part the hair towards the side the person usually does it.

Step3: Start cutting the hair straight. Do it horizontally along the edges and back.Since the hair is damp cut it to about an inch below the chin.

Step4: Make sure that the hair is uniform around the head.

Step5: Pull the hair down from the front section and trim if necessary to make it even.

Step6: To give a slight layer to the bob divide the hair into five sections. Let the fifth section be the recently cut bottom hair. The four sections should be the two in the front and two in the back. For convenience clip the sections.

Step7: Lift each section vertically and snip just the edges off. Make sure that both the sections in the front and sides are even by raising them. This will give a slight layer effect to the bob.

Some simple instructions to keep the haircut up to date

  • Change bobs by shaping rather than losing the length for changing.
  • Flip the ends up and try to add layers into the bob hair cut.
  • In order to brighten the hair, use highlights and try to add some dimension.
  • Blow the dryer on the roots of hair if you wish to give a wild look to your hair style. Teasing the hair at the crown will give desired shape and also add volume to your hair.

This hair cut has gained so much popularity because of its easy manageability. It can be washed, dried and readied in minutes. Even though cutting a chin level hair cut is very easy, even a slight imperfection in the cut is quite noticeable. But it won’t be very difficult for you to learn this hair cut if you take attention and follow the above mentioned steps. You can also use your creativity to bring the most of this hair style. You are sure to get a lot of compliments.

Oh, crapoli, I appreciate the advice, but I did hair for ten years and the only cut more difficult than a slightly layered bob on straight hair is the flat top. Two suggestions: 1-section the hair to cut the straight line of the bob. 2- have the person look down -- this creates a slight curving under of the finished look, thus avoiding the "I just chopped my hair with kitchen scissors" look. ;)
