Great Halloween Costumes Cheap
Cheap, But Great Costumes
It is that time of year again. Little and big kids love to dress up in costumes and go trick or treating. It was so much fun when I as a child. When my children were little I loved making their costumes. One year my daughter was Jasimine and my son was Aladdin. I made my daugther's costume with pink leotard, some turquoise sheer material purchased from a thrift store, and a white cotten blouse purchased from a thrift store. The only sewing that was required was the sheer pants. i put this costume together in about 30 minutes on Halloween eve. In fact the costume won my daughter a prize at the mall.
Another very popular costume for a little girl was the bride costume. This costume was made with a long white dress for a little girl. The type dress that would be used for a flower girl. The dress cost a total of $1.00 and was purchased from a garage sale. I used cut out paper card board and made a headband on which I attached a veil made from a piece of white sheer material once again, you guessed it, bought from a thrift store.
If you need a costume for Halloween make sure you visit your local thrift stores and garage sales. In this economy everyone needs to save a buck. We still want our children to have fun at Halloween so get to work shopping at your local thrift store and making that great costume cheap.
