How to Make Your Own Natural Body Scrubs
Making your own natural body scrubs is so easy, and great for your body. If you have dry skin these will be sure to be great for you. Try using anyone of these homemade natural body scrubs use them atleast once a week. After you try it for yourself you can say good bye to expensive store bought body scrubs, and save some money making your own.
Coconut Body Scrub
- 1/2 a cup organic sea salt
- 1/3 cup organic raw sugar
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 15 drops of essential oil of your choice
In a bowl add all the ingredients and mix well. If the scrub is too thick add a bit more coconut oil. The coconut oil may go back to being more solid your body heat will warm it up some, or you can add some almond oil to create a better consistency.
Citrus Body Scrub
- 1/2 a cup of sea salt
- 1/ 2 a cup of sweet almond oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon of orange zest
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Body Wash Body Scrub
- Your favorite body wash
Add sugar in a jar or resealable container leaving about an inch or two at the top. Pour in your favorite body wash almost all the way to the top of the jar. Using a butter knife mix the body wash and the sugar. If mixture is too runny add more sugar, and if it's too thick add some more body wash. It all depends on the consistency you like.
Honey Body Scrub
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 1 cup raw sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure honey
- 2 teaspoons of citrus zest
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
Coffee Body Scrub
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 15 drops of peppermint essential oil,or essential oil of your choice
- 1/2 cup of freshly brewed coffee grounds
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, this will stay good for approximately 1-2 weeks longer if kept in the fridge. The coffee in this scrub will help reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Purifying Body Scrub
- 3/4 cup of salt
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- Few drops of grapefruit essential oil
- Jojoba oil
Mix everything except for the jojoba oil in a bowl. Slowly add in jojoba oil until your mixture becomes a paste, or the consistency you like.
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons sweet almond oil or jojoba oil
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 teaspoon honey
- handful of pomegranate seeds
Mix everything in a bowl unti you have a nice paste consistency.
Oatmeal Brown Sugar Body Scub
- 1 cup raw oatmeal
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1 cup brown sugar
Blend the oatmeal in a blender if you want the oatmeal finer, then mix everything together in a bowl.
Coloured Body Scrub
- 2 cups sea salt
- 1/ 2 cup olive oil
- Few drops of food colouring of your chioce
- Few drops of essential oil of your choice
Add all ingredients in a bowl and mix well, make sure to only add a little bit of food colouring. If you add too much it could end up staining your skin.
Aloe Vera Body Scrub
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup raw sugar
- 1 teaspoon organic aloe vera gel
mix everything up in a bowl.
After you choose and make your natural body scrub pour the mixture into a jar or another air tight container that has a lid. You can make a nice label and put it on the jar and decorate it with ribbons. These make lovely gifts for family and friends.
