List of tattoo shops and artists in the Philippines that I considered for my first tattoo
I always wanted to get a tattoo. The problem is I don’t know anyone who makes GOOD tattoo. Yes, I know some guys who tattoo or know some guys who know someone who tattoos. But I’ll be honest; they are not good. I’m not gonna pay someone or buy him a couple of cigarettes and a few rounds of beer just to have him put something I really don’t like on my skin.
No disrespect intended to those people but I just don’t want to be a practice-canvass to them. I understand that a tattoo artist starts small and they just work their way up from the skills they learn from a long time of practice. But right now I just can’t risk putting something on my skin that I might regret in the future. I needed a professional tattoo artist.
So that came to be the start of my tattoo artist hunt. Since I’m working most of the time, the only means for me to research about it is thru the internet. I also had some friends who asked me to check out some of the guys or shops in the list.
I know there are a lot of talented and well known tattoo artist aside from my list right now and I apologize if I wasn’t able to put those guys here. The list that I have here is just a compilation of my research online and some referred by my friends. I will admit I’m not really familiar with the tattoo scene so please forgive me if any disrespect was felt and if I wasn’t able to look on your works.
I will also not disclose the artist I chose for my tattoo. I will just say that the style of the artist really suited the concept that I had in mind.
So, here is the list of the artists and shops that I considered for my first tattoo arranged in no particular order:
1. Racquel Natividad of Rakel Tattoo
2. Butch Rosca of Black Samurai Tattoo
3. Jaime Tud of Wildside Tattoo
4. Erwin Guinto of Konkrete Ink Tattoo
5. Joel Rocafort
6. Edwin Miraflores
7. Tupe Guillergan
8. Ato Legaspi
So whether you're in to Filipino tribal tattoo, traditional, black and grey, realistic or any style you can think of. I believe this list of artists can definitely help in getting your dream tattoo.
