Love from Australia - A Buyers Guide
2003 was the year we were introduced to Love from Australia. Their classic boot style received key positioning in Harrods on Christmas Eve. At this point in time the ‘ugg’ craze had already been established and the LFA boots provided a quirky and glamorous alternative to the UGG phenomenon. In 2004 the brand started work on design led customised designs based on the classic boot. The Autumn/Winter season saw famous designer Matthew Williamson commission Love Australia to craft the sheepskin boots for his New York fashion show. Collections including Wildest Dreams, Gypsy Stud and Luxe Cupid were created and sold in boutiques across the UK. The brand profile was boosted in 2005 when Sienna Miller purchased a pair of tall Nomad in Black. Sienna was photographed by the paparazzi and was featured in every national newspaper wearing the Nomad boot. Just by Sienna Miller wearing these boots the waiting lists for Nomad shot into the hundreds. In 2006 Glamour magazine ran their first ever full body shot on the front cover. Model Kelly Brook was pictured wearing Love from Australia pink Gypsy studs. In 2007 and 2008 Love from Australia successfully expanded into European markets. Boutiques were opened in The Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Germany and Belgium just to name a few. In 2009 the Love from Australia wedge heel collection is launched. The products unique selling point included a shoe with all the comfort of sheepskin with the extra height of an 8cm wedge heel. Now, Love from Australia boots appear in 250 stores across the UK and Europe and are loved for their comfort and style. It’s all about the detail with LFA, they add chic features to their products including, toggles, buckles and sparkles.
Love from Australia currently has ten collections. Our favourites include the Signature Collection which includes boots with Love from Australia’s customised on trend twists adding extra fun and glamour. We especially love Romani, a riding style boot which is available in either a mid length suede finish or extra tall nappa version with antique gold branded ring and stud detail. The ‘Special Occasion’ collection caught our eye with its ‘Just Married’ boots. We love the ‘Something Blue’ and ‘Bridesmaids’ styles with their embroidered text on the heels and cute feminine ribbons. Finally we can’t help but fall in love with the LFA Mini collection. Love for Australia gives you the chance to ‘match up with mum’ with an adorable range of mini me styles all in twin face sheepskin which are perfect for little growing feet.
Love from Australia also provides an accessories collection. Our favourite picks include the post bag in faux fur. This is the perfect accessory to compliment your boots. The bag is made from sheepskin with a faux fur trim and takes a satchel style form. We also love the ribbon slippers, available in white, caramel, black and pink these slippers feature threaded ribbons through the arch of the shoe and a twice face sheepskin lining. They come with a matching satin bag making them the perfect gift. To ensure your LFA’s are carefully cared for the ‘Protect Me’ spray can be spritzed onto the boots in order to keep them looking new through all weather conditions. Love from Australia also encourage you to customise your boots and provide alloy buckle straps in contrast suede, metallic leather or animal print!
