Mens Make Up | Adam Lambert Wears A Lot Of Eyeliner, So Can You!

Updated on January 21, 2010

Male fashion has found a new champion of male make up, Adam Lambert and his excessive reserves of eyeliner. If you're a man who wants to wear make up, and is prepared to brave Adam Lambert's sentries who are now guarding the world's supplies of eyeliner, then now is the time to get your hands on some of the good stuff.

I know, I know, Adam Lambert is famously gay, which makes it hard to make him a poster boy for straight men who are usually terrified of catching 'the gay', or perhaps more likely, being mistaken for being gay themselves. But women love Adam Lambert. Yes they do. There are plenty of ladies in denial over Adam's orientation, and plenty more who would offer themselves in the name of conversion.

Being thought to be gay may make the average straight guy more attractive to women. Doesn't make sense? Doesn't have to. Women love the thrill of the chase just as much as men do, and there's something incredibly alluring about a man who isn't actively chasing a woman that makes her disproportionately interested in him.  Gay men tap into a similar instinctual response as those aloof asswipes who largely ignore their female partners and yet somehow have women dangling off every appendage they have going spare.

But I've gotten off track again. The eyeliner. That was the point. He wears it a lot and he makes it look pretty damn good. He wouldn't look half as brooding and cheerfully, attractively evil if  his eyes weren't slathered in dark eye make up.

This is a look that most all men can capitalize on. You don't even need to spend hours of your life singing generic pop songs. You can simply highlight your eyes with eyeliner (liquid or pencil, liquid is more dramatic and requires a more refined touch, pencil is lighter but won't accidentally paint your eyeball,)  and go about your business You'll find that women find you somehow more interesting, more mysterious, more contemporary than your peers who are not wearing make up. This is because, in spite of what they say about ladies being attracted to a good sense of humor and a nice personality, women are much more able to appreciate a good sense of humor when they are infatuated with a man on the basis of his appearance. Use the shallow to your advantage, everybody else is doing it.
