Mole Removal - Something Everyone Should Do - Please

Some people love moles, some people hate them. Some consider moles as a sign of beauty. In Asia it’s believed that moles bring wealth and luck. But I’m not from Asia and I don’t like moles. I've decided to write this article, in hopes that others find this topic as disturbing as i do.

In this article you will find various pictures, videos and helpful hints on covering or removing Moles. Some people are against drastic surgery to remove something cosmetic. What most people don't understand, is that moles are not only an eyesore, but can also be malignant, or cancerous. In a society where Cindy and Marilyn were praised for their "imperfections", it then became a socially acceptable watermark. People started drawing on fake moles, thinking this was beautiful. Where i was raised, moles came pre loaded on Halloween costumes, and witches noses.

If you leave your moles alone, they might eventually disappear or become lighter. But if moles are making you feel ugly there ARE steps you can take...

I loved your amusing style. I do not have mole but I have seen people desperate to remove their moles while some other using eye liner to create a mole.

I had to read this after seeing the picture of Fred Savage with his mole from Austin Powers...LOL!! I have a few moles, all the same color as the rest of my skin, but had one removed on my forehead. I hated having it there. I agree, moles are ugly!!!

I'm not from Asia either, haha, and don't really like moles. Freckles, on the other hand, are adorable on girls :)

LoL I agree Benji. Freckles are a totally different story :)

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize one could remove a mole at home. I recently had a mole removed at the top/side of my nose near my eye by a plastic surgeon who also removed a basal cell skin cancer on my nose. I now keep a close watch on other moles.

Thanks for commenting Jaye! and i'm glad they found the cancer just in time!

Interesting hub, I don't agree though. I have a mol in my cheek(impossible to remove)and part of life is accepting imperfections, 'cos nothing is perfect.

What an interesting topic for a Hub! I have had ugly moles removed on my face. I agree with you that if they are ugly or gross, especially on the face, the thing to do is remove them. Moles on other places on my body, I haven't been so quick to remove. But, living in Florida, I have learned to have all moles checked out for melanoma cancer. Some can become malignant at any time. Sometimes they can lie dormant on your body for 30 years and then suddenly become malignant. So, I don't fool around with moles anymore. If the doctor says they should go I get them removed right away. Very interesting hub! Welcome to hub pages and keep writing!

hello and welcome to HubPages. normally i don't worry about moles, any more than scars...they just are a part of me. but i have one on my bottom eyelid that i do plan on having looked at on my next visit to the dr, whenever i get around to going...only because it has begun behaving in a strange manner. it grew to a large size then sort of died and broke off. i thought that was the end of that only to have it grow back...and begin to die and break off again. i am sure it will grow back again. i have never had a mole behave in such a way. so this one i will definitely have taken care of...besides when it gets large i can actually see it as a small blurry thing and i keep wanting to wipe it away from my eye.

I don't have any protruding moles, like my sisters and mother.

This is very useful, but I would like my moles to stay because when it colors change, it will indicate as something of a radar, alerting me that there's something wrong with my health.

I did not take pictures sorry. It was on my belly at the belt line and bothered me so I looked it up online and found the info and it worked. Here is a Youtube link I found. http://youtu.be/AkNEwG7G7H8
