Natural Body Care Recipes: Because We are Natural too!

What we put on our skin is absorbed into the bloodstream, so lets use food to keep skin glowing and cared for. "Down with man made chemicals, I am not your science experiment!"
*Daily Facial Scrub ~ (use instead of soap)
1 tablespoon corn starch or quinoa flakes
1 tablespoon chamomile flowers
-Blend into a fine powder.
-Lasts for up to 6 months, keep dry
*Simple Facial Scrub ~(use instead of soap)
1/4 powdered milk
-Blend into a fine powder
-Last for up to 6 months, keep dry
*Chamomile Tea Facial Toner
-Brew a cup of chamomile tea, allow it to cool, place in spray bottle and chill for an hour. Spray face after cleansing for a mist of soothing chamomile!
-Keep in fridge (feels nice cold) or in bathroom, lasts one week.
* Essential Oil Toner
-Mix a few drops of an essential oil with water in a spray bottle. Spray face after cleansing for a soothing mist of your favorite essential oil.
-Bergamot and tea-tree are good for oily skin.
-Grapefruit and geranium are good for all skin types.
-Rose is wonderful for all skin types.
*Weekly Egg Mask- (tightens and cleans)
-Beat a whole egg until foamy and apply to face, avoiding eye area and lips, let dry, rinse
-Follow with chamomile/ other toner and a moisturizer
*Yogurt Lemon Mask- (softens and lightens)
- Mix a few spoonfuls of plain yogurt and a squeeze of lemon, apply to face, avoid eye area and lips, let dry, rinse

*Natural Body and Lip Moisturizers
* add your favorite essential oil to these in a small container
~ Olive Oil
~ Coconut oil (depending on the brand it will melt once in your hands)
