North Face Hyvent Jacket Review

North Face Hyvent Jacket

If you are looking for a North Face Hyvent Jacket you've come to the right place. First and foremost, I make my living in nature so having the proper equipment is something I live by. When talking about a North Face Hyvent jacket, you are actually talking about multiple jackets. Hyvent is a type of fabric designed by the North Face that is waterproof, breathable, moisture permeable, and durable. Every North Face Hyvent jacket is tested by The North Face in the field and by their lab to ensure superior performance in outerwear products.

There is an upgraded line to the North Face Hyvent Jacket series called Hyvent Alpha. Instrumental in the Summit Series line, the Hyvent Alpha fabric is composed of different materials that are allow the North Face Hyvent Jacket to withstand even the most severe weather conditions.

Every North Face Hyvent Jacket goes through the gauntlet of testing from within the lab to out in the field by the North Face athletes. Without these tedious field tests, the North Face Hyvent jacket would not be able to guarantee such outstanding performance.

Other options to get a North Face Hyvent Jacket are in Hyvent DT and Hyvent 3-Layer Fabric. Hyvent DT is thinner more lightweight fabric of the Hyvent family. Hyvent 3-Layer Fabric is designed to stay breathable and waterproof in EXTREME weather conditions. As you can see, every North Face Hyvent Jacket has one of four options of Hyvent technology and each serves its own purpose.

After buying a Columbia jacket with the bold claim to be waterproof and breathable, guaranteed (it wasn't) I am now skeptical. AN avid runner of distance in Vancouver, we face downpours that rival the Amazon. Is it asking to much for a jacket that is light weight and able to keep me dry? So, I bought the North Face Hyvent today and have my fingers crossed that it will keep its promise to be water proof and breathable. Columbia has let me down....will post results tomorrow as I will do a brisk 5 miler in heavy rains, Sean.

I purchased the HiVent DT for a rain jacket and I could not be more disappointed. If it is water. Proof then it is certainly not breathable as evidenced by the fact that when worn in rain/mist/snow the undergarment is wet. Maybe my body temperature isn't "strong" enough to push the water vapor out. I own several North Face products and this is the first one that has disappointed me.
