Olay Definity Skin Care Products

Mature Skin Care

The Olay company started out in 1949 in South Africa, with one product, Oil of Olay. It was acquired by Proctor and Gamble in 1985 and has since grown to be one of the largest companies producing beauty products. It has a website where you can get free consultation about skin care. There are multiple lines of care products for face and body now, including Regenerist and Total Effects. This article will look at the Definity skin care line.

Olay Definity products are advertised as anti-aging products which help reverse the signs of skin that has been "stressed" by environmental factors as well as aging.  There is a cream cleanser, a daytime tinted moisturizer, a night cream and an eye treatment.  I have used all the products except the tinted moisturizer.  After several months using this line I have found the following.

  • The products are safe for sensitive skin
  • The products are easy to use
  • The products are not overly expensive, although using 4 different products is more costly

The products may be purchased online and Olay will help you find online sites.  Some products may be more difficult to find in local stores.  The products do improve moisture in the skin, and this may help to reduce redness.  The products were not irritating or harsh.  However only a modest improvement is seen in reducing signs of aging.  The eye product especially seemed to have little effect in reducing dark circles and shadows under the eye.  The night cream seemed to be most beneficial.  It made the skin feel softer, and more supple.

This line of products would be good for someone who has the beginnings of wrinkles, lines and other signs of aging.  It is affordable and if a person has only mild changes in the skin appearance, this product may work for you.  Someone with more advanced changes would need a more intense line of products.
