Origins Super Spot Remover Review
Packaging and Cost Details
The Super Spot Remover comes in a tiny 0.3 fl. oz. blue translucent bottle with a screw off lid, there is a hole on the top where you squeeze out the gel. The cost is $15.00 for this little bottle of which the active ingredient is Salicylic Acid 1.50%. It is suggested for large pimples that need removing quickly.
Why I purchased it?
I bought the Super Spot Remover because I get really bad breakouts around my monthly cycle, the aftermath is terrible though and I needed something to manage it. This was suggested to me by the salesperson that helped me.
Application of the Product
Like most Origins products, a little goes a long way. I would not suggest applying it with your fingertips because of the oil and bacteria on your hands. Usually I just get a Q-tip, squeeze out a very small drop, and dab it on the affected area. You should feel some tightness in the skin around the area to which the gel was applied.
As I mentioned, a little goes a long way. This may dry some people's skin out if you use too much too often. If excessive drying does occur stop using it until it goes away. Dry skin produces more oil, more pimples, etc. It's only supposed to be used for problem pimples.
Use A Moisturizer!
I would definitely use a moisturizer before applying the gel. This will help reduce any drying or flaking that occurs, while also keeping your skin hydrated while the medication does what it needs to do. A dry face can make you appear aged.

My Overrall Rating
Personally, I do like the Super Spot Remover as far as managing outbreaks due to stress, monthly cycle, etc. However, mine tend to take a little longer than I was hoping to heal. When I purchased it I was under the impression it would take a max of 24 hours to see a difference...for me it was more like 72. At the time I was also trying out a new cream (which was a terrible mistake, haha!) which could have reduced the benefit of the gel.
A word of advice: Try products one at a time. One may not work so well with the other and you end up trashing something that was actually useful. This hub will probably be updated if I see any changes.
As far as the pricing goes, I feel that 15$ is fair. you use a very, VERY small amount, the consistency is thick. I've had mine for a 2 weeks but in the update I will also put in some additional info on how long it takes to empty the whole bottle.
I would give it a 3 out 5 because of the time it takes for the area to completely heal. I feel that the price of it actually might be a little high. Yes, the ingredients are clean. Yes, it does take about a month to get through the whole bottle depending on how bad your outbreaks are.
However, its basically just a small bottle of some very strong salicylic acid. I probably won't buy it again because I can get the same thing somewhere else for a lot less.

Always Ask For a Sample!
Origins offers small samples, and will let you try on just about anything in the store before you buy it. Always, always, make sure you ask for a sample, especially if you are already purchasing something. They have never turned me down and are usually more than happy to let me try it out for myself.
Through sampling, I now use the Checks and Balances face wash for exfoliation and the Super Spot Remover to treat existing problem areas.
