Popular Tattoo Designs
Tattoos have exploded over the years and they are more popular than ever with research into tattoo studies state that one in four of us have tattoos and with the ranges of tattoos available now, people can tailor existing tattoo designs to what they choose to wear as a customized tattoo.
The tribal tattoos are very popular and can have quite complex styles of design which seems to appeal to many who prefer this style of tattoo and quite often you see solid black or blue ink tribal designs incorporated as a sleeve or as something that makes up a totally unique tribal tattoo or tribal tattoos can be immersed with colour too.
I often see the tribal design being combined with other themes as we see many of the other popular tattoos merging with each other as many tattoo artists become obsessed with creating unique blends of body art that is not only fun to create, but also tattoo art that will sell.
Back in the 60's, things like anchors and swans were all the rage and so things of the past become retro or back in fashion and so never ever over look the past trends with tattoos, as quite possibly sailors and army soldiers all had some form of classic tattoo style that they would get inked back then, something that is often referred to as "old School"
When I've been out and about in summer I see alot of women have the same or a similar type of lower back tattoo which is popular too, not that I'm a perv or anything, it's just you take notice of ladies tattoos on any part of their body or at least I do and lower back tats are considered sexy as the natural curves help to accentuate the design of the art.
Dragon tattoos are always popular, from great big chinese style dragons to full on illustrated mythical dragons from any well known mythology, but any cool looking dragon art piece usually looks good on the back of a woman and also on a mans chest, although you may have to have a good figure to pull off the design and let the lines and the flow of the art look right, on the arms at the top of the shoulders is another great area for a dragon tattoo too.
Celtic tattoo art which is similar to tribal art is also a very popular design choice as people either like the designs or they have some associated history with the Celtic art, whether this is dating back to Celtic heritage origins or some deeper spiritual belief, they always look good if you get the right tattooist who has done Celtic tattoos before.
Of course with popular tattoo designs there comes a feeling of, is this unique? because people want original tattoos that no one else has usually and so they want to get something that they can show off to their friends and say that they are into this theme or they chose that tattoo because they are so cool now take a god damn look at it!
