About the Brand
The history of Reebok goes back to a small village called Holcombe Brook, 6 miles from the town of Bolton in England. In 1890, Joseph William Foster was making a living from manufacturing shoes, and then realised that there was potential to create a new running shoe with spikes for added grip.
Once his ideas began to take more shape, he then formed a company called J.W. Foster and Sons. The company then went on to gain a great reputation for producing high quality running shoes. And in 1924 they received the honour of being selected to produce running shoes for athletes representing Great Britain in the 1924 Summer Olympic Games.
The company was then taken on by Foster’s two grandchildren, Joe and Jeff Foster and they renamed the business Mercury Sports. In 1960, the business was renamed to Reebok as it is known now. The name Reebok is South African in origin and means “roebuck” which is a male deer in Afrikaans.
Now that we have an understanding of the heritage that Reebok have, let’s now look at their latest offerings, and which style is the right choice for you.
Reebok EasyTone is a new type of footwear that is designed to help you to tone and strengthen key leg muscles, with each and every step you take. The technology itself is not new, but the application within footwear is a new approach. Instability Training has been proven over time to firm and strengthen muscles by making them work harder to support your weight.
EasyTone ReeInspire II
The EasyTone ReeInspire II is built using Reebok’s patented sole technology, which creates the feeling of walking on sand. This improves muscle tone in the activated muscles whilst walking, such as the hamstrings, calves and glutes. The ReeInspire is available in a large variety of different colours, with combinations of White, Glacier Blue, Black, Rose Gold, Red and Grey to choose from.
EasyTone Go Outside II
EasyTone Go Outside II are created to help you to tone your bum and legs, just by walking in them! The air pocket technology creates pockets of moving air within the heel and forefoot, to create micro instability. They also have women’s specific last technology that ensures an optimal fit and function for a woman’s foot.
The EasyTone Flip takes the incredible EasyTone muscle toning technology and combines it with comfort to create the perfect sandal. These flip flops create natural instability, much like walking on a sandy beach, which encourage toning through increased muscle activation in 3 key areas of the leg. The EasyTone Flip aren’t available for purchase yet, but many retailers are accepting pre orders for them now.
