One animal tattoo that people find interest in is the rooster tattoo. The rooster is a very common domesticated animal that is found all across America and many locations in the world. Anyone from the farm or backwoods may consider such a tattoo. Although illegal, fighting roosters is a very popular sport that many take pride in. These men and women find pride in developing top breed roosters, not all for fighting. Either way, they may find interest in the rooster tattoo.

The rooster is also a symbol of the Chinese zodiac. According to the Chinese zodiac, anyone born in the year of 1909, 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, or 2005 is given the rooster symbol. The rooster is actually the 10th sign of the Chinese zodiac. The Chinese zodiac says that the rooster is a symbol of protection, good luck, good fortune, and fidelity. For future references, the years 2017, 2029, and 2041 would also carry the rooster symbol. All you have too do is add 12 to the ending year,

Although the rooster is a male symbol, rooster tattoos can be worn by women. The rooster tattoo does also hold symbolic value for the men and women who wear this animal tattoo. Roosters can come in a variety of different colors so rooster tattoos can be done in many different ways.

Rooster tattoo designs can be absolutely stunning when done correctly. The beautiful feathers of the rooster can sport a variety of colors, such as blue, black, brown, red, purple, green, yellow, or white. Rooster tattoos can be designed to portray bright colors or darker shades. Rooster tattoo designs can also portray the rooster as a cartoon or in a realistic design. It all depends on what you are looking for.

Rooster tattoo designs can include the entire rooster or various parts of the roosters. Some rooster tattoo designs may only portray the head of the rooster while others portray the entire rooster. The posture of the rooster is another variation that is altered between rooster tattoo designs. The rooster may be portrayed to look calm while some rooster tattoo designs will portray the rooster as a fighter, often including the talons of the rooster.

If your not into all of the colors of the rooster, perhaps you may want to choose a tribal rooster tattoo. This type of rooster tattoo is done in black traditional ink and is designed in tribal art. There is a lot of detail work involved in rooster tattoo designs. When done correctly, a black inked rooster tattoo can look great. Roosters may also be included with other tattoo symbols, such as a clock. This is due to the fact that the rooster and clock are both associated to time. Another common symbol that the rooster is found with in tattoos is the pig. This old school tattoo design was worn by sailors for protection just in case that they would fall into the waters.

Personally speaking, I like the rooster tattoo designs that include the Chinese characters. The feathers really tell the story so they are a very important aspect of any rooster tattoo design. If your looking for a fierce rooster tattoo design, go for a fighting rooster showing a little talon. Roosters are prideful animals and rooster tattoo designs look good without a background. If your looking into a tribal rooster tattoo design, make sure it is not cluttered together. Some designs are not well done.

There are some important things that you want to consider before you get your rooster tattoo or any tattoo. Make sure that you take the time to research your tattoo. Make sure that you are completely aware of what your tattoo represents and stands for. You don't want to get inked and find out later that your tattoo represents something different from what you first thought.

Don't rush to get inked! Men and women that choose to get inked on an impulse usually have regrets later on down the road. You don't want to make this same mistake. If you are not completely sure or your having second thoughts, don't rush to get tattooed. Give yourself time and make sure that this is what you want. Remember, you are planning to wear this tattoo for the rest of your life.

Many men and women can find meaning in the rooster as a tattoo. There are several that may find an association to the rooster and some may just like the designs. Either way, the rooster would make a great tattoo for anyone. If you believe that the rooster tattoo is not for you or you want to view more tattoos, please feel free to follow the links below. I don't know about the roosters, they look pretty tough and I don't want to give the wrong impression. Always enjoy looking in on these posts, lyricwriter.

Some of those tattoos are huge. Wow, I would never have thought of a rooster. Huh!

I used to have a pet rooster. I raised him from a chick and he followed me around like a puppy. My husband called him Stupe because he said it was stupid. I loved the pretty fellow though. I cried when he died.

I like the rooster tattoo next to the don't rush to get inked section. It's a nice symbol because it represents courage so I doubt anyone would mess with you with one of these. You always do an excellent job writing these hubs.
