Genie Bra Review

As Seen on TV

If I could rate the top ten inventions of the year, I would include the genie bra among the list! This bra is really amazing for my petite frame. I am 5'1" with an A cup size. With my small frame and small shoulders I have struggled with finding an appropriate sized bra that doesn't dig in or create an unnatural bust. Many of my wired bras create indentations at the end of the day and get easily warped in the wash. Luckily, I stumbled across a genie bra commercial late one night and decided to give it a try.

Though I have to be honest, I wasn't sold by the commercials initially. I figured it was another too good to be true As Seen On Tv offer. After talking to some friends and researching online, I decided it was worth a shot. Most of the reviews online will tell you that the genie bra (aka ahh bra) works well for smaller bra cup sizes. It doesn't support large chested women and also rolls upward among heavyset women. So for the most part, if you are petite with a B cup size or smaller then definitely try the genie bra!

Purchasing the genie bra could not be easier. This product is available at all drug stores, Walmart, Target and at Bed Bath and Beyond. With no shipping fees and a 20% coupon in hand, you can not beat the price offered by Bed Bath and Beyond.

Sizing

Most department and drug stores will carry sizes M, L, and XL. Other sizes will need to be ordered online or requested at the front register. Because of my petite frame, Bed Bath and Beyond (BBB) has to special order my size XS/S and ships the product directly to my home for no additional fees. So I get free shipping and get to use my 20% coupon from BBB!

After the 20% coupon, I pay a total of $17.95 for a package of two genie bras.

Below is the official www.geniebra.com sizing chart for reference:

Washing Instructions

The genie bra is machine washable. I do recommend drying the bra on a rack versus the drying machine. The dryer is likely to shrink and/or warp the bra. The padding is also likely to come out in the dryer (fyi, it is a pain to put back in)!

Colors Available

The genie bra is available in nude, black and white. When purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond, you will only receive nude and black in their packaging. I am not sure why white is not an option. Hopefully they will offer this color in the near future.

I love my Genie Bra, almost as much as my Pajama Jeans. I wrote a hub about them both, I think I will link to your hub, if that's OK with you.

Sherry: I love my Genie Bras too! They stay on all day unlike my previous wired/hooked uncomfortable bras.

I'm looking forward to reading about your Pajama Jeans :)

Great review! Your personal attestation is the clincher. (no pun intended there!) May just try this! :)

Beth100: You do need to give it a try. They are inexpensive (run about $8 per bra) and can be returned if they don't suit you well. Good luck!

I know an elderly lady with a very ample bust. She is unsteady on her feet and hates shopping. She purchased one of these bras after she saw a TV ad, and is very happy with it. I think any issues with the fit are outweighed by the convenience.

Of course, that equation would not suit everybody.

Interesting hub.

When I worked as a call center agent, I cannot tell you how many orders I took for the Genie Bra. I have been tempted to try them, but just haven't gotten around to it. Glad I read your Hub about them.
