The Panty Vigilante is a text based game about one man and his love of panties. A love that may just save the day. This game has been quite the little labor of love, though it is pretty short, so you don't have to worry about it becoming a debilitating addiction, unlike certain games I can think of. (WoW, I am looking at you.)

If you like it, let me know! I'll probably release some sequels and updates if this thing gets off the ground, so as always, your input and feedback is highly valued.

How To Play 'The Panty Vigilante'

If you're not familiar with text based games (and lets face it, the last time these things were really popular was the mid 90's, here are some basic controls. The whole game is controlled by typing simple commands into the bar set aside for the purpose.

These are the basic commands you'll need to play this game. There are some clues hereabouts in that every command listed on this page is something you'll need to play the game.

The basic commands go thus:

N – North

S – South

E - East

W – West

You can also use SW, NE, etc, however this particular game has not made use of those tricky diagonal sorts of directional shenanigans.

If you see an object you like, you can always try to take it by typing in “take [object]” (without the ['s of course.)

If you see some desirable lingerie, why not wear it? Simply type “wear [object]”

Have to take it off again? Just type “take off [object]”

If you don't want to take an object, but you would like to get a closer look at it, type 'examine [object]', or, if you really like not having to type words, just 'X'. You can use 'X' to examine any element in the game, though not all elements will be X worthy, of course, and some things are best left unexamined. If you know what I mean.

If you want to know what you are carrying at any point in time, just type 'Inventory', or 'I'

If you would like to converse with those you discover in the game world, it is best to simply ask them about things. For example “Ask the queen about the panties.”

If you would like to travel in a vehicle you must enter it, so 'ENTER [VEHICLE]'

If you get lost or find any bugs, just pop along back here and leave a cry for help in the comments and I shall aid you forthwith! (Or apologize because I screwed something up.)

I haven't played a text based game since... probably the mid 90s. But I get a 404 page when I attempt to download it.

No text based panty fun for me tonight. :(

I've changed the host now, so it should be easier to download the file. Just click the link in the article :)

Yay! I scored 85 out of a possible 65.

Typical, I can't use any program without finding a bug somewhere.

If that's the only bug you found, then I am beyond stoked ;) ('cause that's not so much a bug as evidence of my inability to count.)

No, I think you can count. Without giving spoilers I'll say that I can repeatedly do something that gives points. Each time it gives points. So I replayed and got 175 out of 65.

Hm... I see I left a 'the first time' command out of the code somewhere... curses! :D
