Three Dresses for Summer - Simple, Sexy and Simply Fantastic

Summer is just around the corner. I don't know about you but I'm all about trying for dresses this year! I want to ditch my shorts and capris and live it up with polka dots, clean lines, and surprising designs.

This sexy dress stands strong on its own, but also leaves room to highlight fabulous accessorizing. Style with a large tangerine handbag and nude heels, maybe even a big floppy sun hat to keep you cool.

The polymide fabric makes up the bulk of the materials which means it is soft and much like cotton; the remaining fabric is spandex, so it stretches (and clings!) Be careful you don't wear this when it's too hot outside: neither fabric lets you breathe too well. If you insist, bring a hand held fan!

Your accessories can turn this from modern glam to vintage wham. Go crazy!

Thank you, Target, for keeping it real. At $28, this dress will wrap you in function, style and multitasking. For day, don it with a pair of strappy flat sandals and a hobo tote and run your errands without looking like you're running errands. In the evening, add a chunky black necklace, black platform heels and a handbag or clutch (don't be surprised if your date drools).

The fabric is mostly polyester, but the spandex addition gives it a great stretch and cling. The addition of rayon should give it a slight sheen, which only adds to this dress's many personalities. My favorite feature are the pockets, which surpass function by adding shape to the waist. This would look great on just about any body type. Get thee to Target!

Ah, the beauty of the beautiful. This gorgeous linen shift has just the right cut to flatter. Worn with the right sandals, you can be a Roman goddess; change again and you're a fashion explorer on a safari runway. The styling possibilities are endless! I see a clutch with the sandals worn by this model, or switch them for a hemp sandal with hobo tote. Wide sunglasses will pack a punch.

This gem is made with 100% linen, so dry clean only. But linen is incredibly breathable and is sure to be a comfort on a hot summer day - which can only mean you look your best. The dress is fully lined, so your undergarments remain your own, but watch out: some linings can cause sweat, and that's exactly what we want to avoid! Will LOFT think ahead for us and have that covered? I can't tell from the website what the lining is made of, but as it still says 100% linen, let's hope that's exactly what it is.
