Top 10 Watches for Men

Updated on February 1, 2013

If you think about it the wrist watch it is really the only piece of jewelery a man wears. Well the only piece a guy should wear. Which is why every man should own at least 3 really nice watches. The right watch can really make or break an outfit.

In top 10 watches for men we have picked 10 very different watches, for you to look at. The thing they all have in common is that they all have very positive user feedback, from their owners.

Initially wrist watches where only made for women. They where considered too "girly", so men kept using pocket watches. During the First World War wrist watches became popular with officers. They didn't have time to fiddle with a pocket watch, in the middle of a battle. After that men changed their opinion about wrist watches.

TAG Heuer Men's Aquaracer Chronograph Quartz Watch

A classic, quality, TAG Heuer watch which is waterproof up to 984 feet. The dial window is made from scratch resistant sapphire and comes in a really cool steel case. It is suitable for casual days out as well as more formal evening due to its style. It is reliable just like you would expect from TAG Heuer.

Casio Men's Pathfinder Triple Sensor Altimeter/Barometer/Digital Compass Watch

This Casio watch has protective mineral crystals to prevent scratching so it is quite sturdy for a harsher environment. I like how it comes with a few additions such as a built-in compass, thermometer and barometer. It has a large and easy to read display which lights up well in the dark. So if you want a watch to wear to work and expect your watch to withstand bangs, then this is ideal for you.

GUCCI Men's Watch

Gucci’s first digital watch is very well made and has a clear display. It can handle some bumps and scrapes without being damaged. I feel it's design means you can use it no matter the occasion. It lives up to the Gucci's quality levels.

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Canvas Strap Watch

A thing I love about this watch is how it uses a solar cell to charge itself during the day or under artificial light. The canvas strap is very durable and has a leather lining inside it, to make it stronger. This Citizen watch does have a slightly military look and feel to it, but I think it is still a classy watch with it's design.

TAG Heuer Men's Silver Aquaracer Watch

I love the overall silver look to this watch, due to its face and brushed steel case. The only slight downside is for some people, in certain light the dial might be a bit difficult to see. It keep time very well. This TAG Heuer might look bulky to some but it only weighs 1.9 pounds, so it won't break your wrist.

Casio Men's G-Shock Multi-Band Solar

I think the black face design on this watch makes it look cool and dramatic, I also like what the silver frame does for it's look. It is shock resistant and water proof to 660 feet, which is more than adequate. The strap is well made so you will not have any problems with it snapping after a few months of use.

TAG Heuer Men's Grand Carrera

This TAG watch is more to the top end of the range in price and weight. It weighs 3 pounds which might be a little heavy for some. The dark face next to the silver gives it a classy look. The face is also quite quiet and is not too busy, which gives it a more temporary clean look. It is very accurate with its time keeping, which you expect from a TAG.

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive

This eco-friendly watch charges itself through a tiny solar panel on the face. The colors no the dial, body and strap work well together. For some people the face might be a bit too busy for their liking. It is large in size but does not weigh you down. It has a good calendar which you set once then can leave until 2100, as it sets and resets itself.

The Citizen Men's Eco-Drive is a not too expensive watch, that will last you for a quite some time.

TAG Heuer Men's Grand Carrera Chronograph Calibre 17 RS Watch

It might be an expensive watch but it oozes quality. Its design and overall feel with the black and silver contrast make it a classy watch. It is very accurate and the luminous dials make it easy to read the time. I find it is quite a big watch but not over the top and can be worn for different occasions without any problems.

Luminox Men's EVO Ultimate SEAL

The makers claim its luminosity makes it 100 times brighter than competitors and the silver numbers on black background do look good. They also say it is favored by the forces armed forces. Its anti-reflective material is an interesting feature and it is a strong watch that can take a fair amount of punishment.

The stainless steel band can end up with some wear and tear but the overall watch will last a while. It is quite chunky, so if you have thin wrists, I would look elsewhere, as it can look oversized.

I hope you found a good watch in top 10 watches for men. You should also read top 10 fragrances for men and top 10 gadgets for men.
