Every woman is shaped differently making different cuts and styles work on us differently. I often turn down a cute outfit or garment because it is not flattering or could be fit better. As a petite lady myself, I just want to share with you some pieces that will always work for the petite chicks with a small frame!
1. Pencil Skirts
They have an elongating effect so you will not look as short. My favorite pencil skirt for years is a silk champagne colored skirt from Arden B. Popular colors will change, but you can never go wrong with black or a neutral color. But if you want to be fun, red or blue can add a nice pop.
2. Tailored Blazer
A tailored blazer can quickly upgrade any look and give you some versatility. As you are short, make sure your blazer is either short (above your hips) or long like a tunic. The long tailored blazers will look best when they are opened. Either one can go great with jeans or a dress.
3. Straight Leg Pants with Stilettos
Something about this combination just screams extra height. Flared pants are definitely a no, no and skinny jeans/pants come may not be your thing. Having straight leg pants gives the illusion of longer legs while having stilettos or some type of platform heel will make you feel like you are all but floating.
For the summer, try linen pants. In winter pull this off with wool for an extra dramatic affect.
