Top Ten Spring 2010 Prom Dresses
The current trend of 2010 seems to be short dresses. In fact, they are getting shorter and shorter, mini really. As reflected in my hub, Top Ten 2009 Prom Dresses, I still prefer longer styles now in 2010. Most of the dresses featured in this hub are long gowns not the minidresses that are so popular today. I especially like the one shoulder dresses currently.
Choosing a dark colored prom dress
Current popular prom dress styles that I like most are definitely the more vibrant colors. Black would be my least favorite color for a prom dress this year. Among the dresses that are darker in color I like these two dress from Speigel and I rank them 10 and 9. Some beading and/or metallics would be nice to offset a dark color.
Metallics and/or beading also work nicely for the lighter colored dresses, even pink!
As I mentioned, I really like one shoulder styles for this year's prom dresses. I probably like the one shoulder style most of all, followed by the halter style. Strapless dresses would be a third choice.
In addition, color is very important in making that final selection. Some truly beautiful and currently trendy colors include cobalt blue.
I also love the ginger (rusty colored), red and purple colors above for the dresses.
With the cobalt blue dress coming in second, my top choice for prom dresses this year is the one shoulder dress below. It is very pale pink and almost looks white in the photo.
