What Vitamins Are Needed to Grow Healthy, Strong and Shiny Hair

Proteins and vitamins are very important for maintaining a healthy sheen and faster hair growth. Though the natural health of your hair largely depends on your genetic make-up, weak hair doesn't have to remain weak. It can be treated with appropriate hair vitamins and essential proteins. Here are some vitamins that will help you to keep your healthy.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A carries important antioxidants that assist in the production of healthy sebum from the scalp.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is also an antioxidant, but also helps maintain healthy hair as well as your skin.

Vitamin E

Another antioxidant, Vitamin E enhances the circulation of the scalp and improves the overall condition of your hair. To have a healthy natural hair condition, Vitamin E is very important.

Vitamin B3

Vitamin B 3, is also known as Biotin and Niacin and is essential for keeping hair strong, particularly if you are looking to donate your hair to charity. Biotin also helps produce Keratin and prevents graying and hair loss.

Vitamins B12, B6 and B5

These vitamins contribute in a big way to the bringing health to your hair.

Once you start on a vitamin program or regimen, it usually takes about two to three months for you to notice any change for the better. If you don't like the length of your hair or it grows slower than you would like, it's best to not waste another day, by getting the vitamins your hair needs to be at its best.

It is best to follow consumption guidelines, as there are negative effects to taking too many vitamins. Doing so may mean that you lose hair instead of growing it.
