I think that you should start, not thinking, that vacation is too soon to see any results. You will get more self esteem. Good start is half of a job :)don't put aside things like this one:) It's your body, work with it.
@edekeful A lot of women have self-esteem without wearing a bikini. Being able to walk three miles in about forty minutes is a top priority to me, and being in shape. Bikinis are not indication of feeling good about yourself.
Thanks sweetiepie! That's exactly what i was thinking. I don't need to wear a bikini to have self esteem. And honestly based on my personal modesty standards, I don't really want to wear one anyway.
@ElleBee Good point about the modesty issue! There are a lot of cultures where women would not feel comfortable wearing one, and I feel it is a bit silly imply a woman's self-esteem is contingent upon this attire.

Most guys won't wear a speedo. You gotta have an absolutely perfect Adonis body to even think about it. But bikinis look good on most women. I think so anyway...
@tmbridgeland Well, I think us women could use that logic to say most men would also look good in a speedo. I am not even the modest type per se, it is just the whole double standard concept of the bikini vs the speedo that never made it appealing.
Only gay guys and professional swimmers wear speedos.
@Kyledude I met a few fit and sexy heterosexual men who wore speedos, and they were not professional swimmers. The point is thinking women should get in shape for a bikini, but only certain men wear speedos is a double standard.
Women would laugh at average guys wearing a speedo.
