Effective tips to make a woman look good and beautiful in her thirties and forties. Graceful beauty!

'The only time you really live fully is from thirty to sixty. The young are slaves to dreams; the old servants of regrets. Only the middle-aged have all their five senses in the keeping of their wits.' - Theodore Roosevelt

The other day I was shopping in a mall and I could see couple of youngsters exchanging smiles and looking in a certain direction. I saw what caught their laughable attention; it was a middle aged woman, dressed most inappropriately in an outfit well suited for only the very young people. She was overly made up and it made her look even aged, a fact she did not know.

Middle age is beautiful phase of your life where your beauty becomes more elegant and dignified. You should understand that however youthful you might look, you can never compete with the fresh beauty of the teenagers.

But does that mean your beauty is gone forever? You can look beautiful in a graceful manner as you enter middle age. I have many friends who feel that their middle age is the beginning of their old age and so fail to take care of their appearance. A grave mistake! You should take efforts to make yourself look as beautiful as you did when you were young and present a well groomed look.

There are many factors that need your attention to make middle age a happy period of your life.

Watch your weight

It is the period in your life when you can become a diabetic or have hypertension. You should always lead an active lifestyle which makes you agile and lively. You should do mild exercises so that you do not add extra pounds. It gives you confidence when you maintain a good figure. Do not become obese, as obesity is the gateway to many diseases. If you become overweight, your total appearance will be disastrous.

Take care of your hair.

Hair is the crowing glory in any phase of your life. Apply oil in your hair in the night and wash with a mild shampoo in the morning. Apply hair packs once a week to give a healthy glow to your hair. Dandruff can cause heavy hair fall and you should treat it with medicated shampoo.

Minimum make up will do

Excessive make up will make you look very artificial and synthetic. If on the other hand you dress according to your age, you look absolutely ravishing in an elegant way. Do not experiment with weird hairdos and a simple hairstyle would more appropriate.

Your hands and feet need pampering.

Your hands are the first to show signs of aging and so take special care of them. Always wear gloves when gardening or when doing other household chores. After washing dishes apply some nourishing cream in your hands. Shape your nails and apply nail polish of mild color. Do not forget to apply cream lavishly in your hands before retiring to bed. Take care of your feet also as you tend to neglect it as you age.

Simplify your dressing

Do not wear those long and lengthy danglers in your ears as they are more suitable for youngsters. The more you simplify your dressing, the more elegant you look. A rope of pearls and a matching pearl drop will be an apt choice.

If you prefer gold, let the chain be slim and slender. Do not wear chunky necklaces and heavy jewels, as it will not suit you. Too much of high heels will also look odd and so chose a well-designed footwear which make you look well dressed. Showing too much of cleavage and legs is a big no as over exposure of your body never suit you.

Gracious behavior

Your total body language should change to a graceful style. Believe me! Your poised beauty cannot be matched by the bubbly youth. If you are giggly and loud it makes you look crude and without sophistication. Your concept of beauty should take a makeover and you should become more charming than dashing; more elegant than flashy and more sober than gawky.

Rated up, useful, awesome, and beautiful (of course!) I love your writing style, and you're totally right that we can be dignified in our beauty as we age. There's something greatly attractive about middle-aged folks who are aware that they're no longer young, yet are also aware that beauty doesn't disappear with age--it just changes and refines. Great hub! :)
