How to Get Hairstyle Like Don Draper

The hair cut is what sets these men apart from characters in other shows. This classic look gives off the look of masculinity, and almost defines the attitude of each male character in the show. There is a certain form of masculine energy that surrounds each man as they enter the world of advertising every day. The main character Don Draper would probably have a much different persona if he had long hair down past his shoulders. Even if he had a buzz cut he would probably be a much different character than the person he is depicted as in the show.

The men in the show have haircuts that make people take them seriously. They are very corporate haircuts, and resemble the hair styles of people in corporate positions today. Instead of having long, flowing hair, they each have rather short hair that is slicked back using some kind of pomade or gel. They are tight on each side and have an incredibly sharp part on the left side of the head.

It's really important that you get the right kind of hair product if you want to get a Mad Men masculine haircut. This means getting either some kind of hair gel or a pomade solution. Some people find that pomade is a bit too greasy for them, so they prefer using a lighter gel. Experiment with different products and see which ones look the best on you. You will probably find that one looks better than the other.

If you want a haircut that looks like the main character Don Draper, tell your hair stylist to cut the hair tight and tapered on each side. Ask them to leave it a bit longer on the top. Also tell them that you want your part on the left side of the face. If you're having trouble getting the part to stay, you can ask them to cut your hair in a way that keeps the part in place.

After you get it cut, you'll have to style it at home in order for it to look right. Get your hair wet and put some gel or pomade in it while it's damp. Take the comb of your choice and part the hair on the left side of the face. Then, create a wave in the front by combing the bangs up and back toward the right side. To finish off the look, make sure you comb back each side of the hair. Be sure to look in the mirror to see that you got it right. If you did everything correctly, you should look just like the guys in Mad Men.

The women have very unique haircuts as well. Like the men, they resemble the hair styles of women from the late 1950s and early 1960s. Since the hair styles for the girls are much more complex than the men, you should probably bring in a photograph of the character in question so that the stylist can get it right.

You can also try curling your hair like the girls in Mad Men as well. Try getting some hot rollers and leave them in your hair for about twenty five minutes or so. Be careful when you take them out. After you do, put your hair up in a ponytail and pin the curls to the scalp. This will give you a very similar hair cut to the character of Joan. Make sure that your hair is approximately the same length as hers, by bringing in a picture of her to the stylist.

How to Create Hairstyle Like Betty Draper

There are lots of amazing Mad Men hairstyles for both men & women. Try looking at various pictures of different characters above and see which one you identify with the most. Bring a photograph of the character in question to your stylist and ask them what they can do for you.
