Makeup Transformation

Makeup step by step to dramatically change your appearance

Makeup can dramatically change your appearance in a short amount of time; there’s nothing better than cosmetics to do the trick. Radical transformation requires a combination of cosmetics and the right brushes. Here are four ways you can dramatically change your appearance.

A bold, red lip makes a strong statement. Choose a lip color and lip liner that is the same color. Make sure that your lip liner is freshly sharpened and then draw along the edges of your lip line. In general, it is best to follow your natural lip line, but it you want to create the illusion of bigger lips; it is O.K. to draw a little bit outside of the natural lip line. Next, fill in the lips with the liner. Finally, take a lip brush and apply the lip color all over the lips. You do not want to attempt this without a lip brush. A bold color requires a precise application, which can only be achieved with the right makeup brush.

Another way to dramatically transform your appearance is with the use of contouring. The first step is to apply a matte bronzer to the hollows of the cheeks, using a large, angled brush. Next, you can use the same brush to apply the same bronzer along your jawline, which will give the appearance of a more defined bone structure. Use a bit more bronzer across the forehead and temples. The final step is to apply a little bit of cream highlighter to the top of the cheekbone. This can be done using the fingertips.

What to do if you are not happy with your nose

Many women are unhappy with the shape of their nose. If your goal is to make your nose appear narrower, then begin by applying a full face of foundation using a foundation brush to ensure a smooth finish. Next, using an angled brush, apply a light line of slightly darker foundation down each side of the nose. You’ll need to wipe off that brush or get a second angled brush to draw a line of highlighting cream down the center of the nose. Finally, take a large, fluffy blender blush and blend the lines into the foundation. Be careful not to blend the three lines together.

Eyebrow and Eyeshadow

A strong eyebrow is on trend.

A strong eyebrow is on trend. Most women do not have a naturally strong brow due to over plucking. Fortunately, it is easy to fake a strong brown. You’ll want to start by removing any stray brows with a good pair of tweezers. Next, use an angled eyeliner brush to apply a shadow to just the very tops of the eyebrows. Use a light touch. You do not want to press so hard that you get eyeshadow on the skin beneath your eyebrows. Choose an eyeshadow color that closely matches your eyebrows.

Any one of these three makeup applications will dramatically change your appearance. If you do all of these applications at the same time, the makeup transformation will be even more dramatic. Choosing the right cosmetics and brushes for each application is just as important as choosing the right colors.
