Smart Lipo: All About SmartLipo

The older I get the more I notice sagging and puffiness in my body. I know that this is the process of getting older, but I don’t feel older so why should I have to look old?

I have thought about liposuction for my chin for several years. This is my most problematic area and makes me feel “fat”, even though I exercise and eat right my stubborn saggy chin still remains. So I decided to use the Smart Lipo procedure and now I know I made the right choice.

Why I Chose Smart Lipo?

From what I’ve learned, Smart Liposuction is a newer version of the traditional liposuction procedure. I had put off liposuction for years due to those scary make over shows where people are ripped open, cattle prodded, and then left unsatisfied for the rest of their lives. Those shows basically convinced me I would rather die than be in that much pain! According to my surgeon, this new way is a lot less painful and dramatic, which is what made me change my mind in the first place. It is a very non-invasive way to remove fat, by using the Smart Lipo laser to rupture or break down fat cells.

Another bonus is this procedure also encourages the production of collagen which will make your skin tighter and younger looking. If you don’t know, collagen is a protein that works to provide flexibility in skin. As we age, our bodies lose much needed collagen. This was also another great selling point for me, because although my grandma is still very beautiful, I don’t want her neck; I want the neck of a 30 year old.

Another great thing about this type of liposuction is it allows for quicker recovery time. Like I said before, I watched those makeover shows and I saw those poor souls spending weeks in bed, bandaged up, bleeding, and swollen beyond recognition. With the procedure I decided on, I was able to go back to work in just a few days. I still had some bruising and swelling, but I did not have to spend weeks in bed like others who have the original liposuction procedure done.

Which Area Of The Body Is Smart Lipo Used For?

The pamphlet for the office I had my Lipo done mentioned several places this procedure can be used. I got my chin done, but it also mentions: upper arms, thighs, tummy, hips, waist, and just about any other place traditional lipo is performed.

Procedures like this change DAILY, so for the most up to day information, please seek out a licensed surgeon for specifics.

Who Can Use Smart Lipo?

Before my surgeon would even consider talking to me about the smart lipo procedure he made me answer an extensive set of questions about my family and medical background. Most of the questions were basic questions a new doctor would ask anyway, like am I allergic to any medications, do I have any kidney, liver, or heart conditions, and do I suffer from diabetes? Although this should be obvious, it’s important for you to tell your doctor any kind of problem you have, no matter how small you think it is. If your doctor knows everything it’s easier for him to decide the best way to treat you. After all, you do not want to go in for a chin liposuction procedure and have complications that could have been prevented!

In general, Smart Liposuction is good for most people if you maintain a healthy lifestyle. If you take care of yourself by eating a balanced diet and are currently on an exercise routine more than likely you are a perfect candidate for liposuction.

If you have stubborn pockets of fat, like my chin area, talk to a board certified Smart Lipo surgeon about your problems and complaints. From there he will be able to assist you in transformation.

Smart Lipo Vs. Cheap Liposuction

Just a word of caution, as with everything else in this world, you get what you pay for. You would not take your car to the cheapest mechanic in town unless you want the cheapest (most inexperienced) work done. In other words, shop around for the best quality of work and then worry about the price. This is your health and body we are talking about here and a cheaper price shouldn’t even be put into the equation.

Another point to mention is that inexperienced and cheap go hand in hand and cheaper doesn’t always mean better. Just remember that a surgeon is probably giving you a lower price because he’s not as experienced. That’s why it’s important to choose a board certified surgeon when deciding on any type of surgery. An inexperienced surgeon can do a world of damage on your body. There are countless numbers of unsatisfied recipients that chose to go the cheap route some of those include patients that were left with loose skin or lumps from fat not being removed evenly. Also, inexperienced surgeons can cause major damage to your organs, not properly sterilize tools which can lead to infection, or even cause death.

A final point to consider is repairing a botched lipo job is not cheap. It can cost up to $20,000.00 to repair a cheaply done liposuction surgery, plus months of embarrassment and pain. It’s a lot better to pay a bit more for what you want and get the job done right the first time instead of going the cheap route and having costly repairs later.

How much does Smart Lipo cost?

When it comes to cost Smart Lipo is more expensive than traditional liposuction. This, to me, is understandable. With this procedure being a newer cutting edge surgery of course it’s going to be more expensive, but I didn’t mind the elevated cost for several reasons. With Smart Lipo I had less recovery time, less pain, and a great looking chin.

After reading several smart lipo reviews, I discovered the actual price depends on the size of the area you want done. I had my chin done which cost me around 2000.00. Larger areas like your inner and outer thighs can cost upwards of S8,000.00 or more. Of course, this price could be higher or lower depending on where you live and what doctor you select to do your procedure.

Another thing that can up the price is how many sessions it takes to remove the stubborn fat from your body.

Also since Smart Lipo is considered a cosmetic surgery, most insurance companies do not cover this procedure. If cost is a big factor in whether or not you will have some work done talk to your doctor. You would be surprised at how many offices offer financing these days, even to those of us with less than perfect credit.

Finally, don’t worry yourself too much about Smart Lipo cost in the beginning, concentrate on finding the best surgeon for the job and then worry about how to finance the procedure.

Have you ever had a lipo procedure done?

  • Yes and I love the new me!
