Antipsychotic Medication Dangers Being Re-Evaluated
According to reports from the Food and Drug Administration, older, more conventionally prescribed antipsychotic medications may increase the risk of death in some of the elderly patients who take them. The FDA had issued similar warnings to more recently developed antipsychotic drugs in 2005. Both the newer and older medications have not been approved to treat the forgetfulness usually associated with dementia.
