This poem reflects my experience over the last few weeks, while bottle feeding five, kittens. All Sick with Upper Respiratory Infection, eyes matted shut and suffering with coccidia. They were found in the back of a plant nursery & were totally wild, even at just over a week old. Yes, they Hissed & yowled the moment they met me! I've hand raised many an orphan over my years, but this time it has been especially challenging. We have a Love/ Hate relationship. But Mostly Love.
