The Anasazi of Chimney Rock (Poem)
Standing high on Chimney Rock between Durango and Pagosa Springs, Colorado, one can experience the northern most Chacoan settlement, some 90 miles north of Chaco Canyon. Though corn was grown up here it had to be water from hand-carried pots filled in a stream far below. But this colony furnished Chaco Canyon with forests herbs and elk jerky.
