Crysis 2 is set in the not so distant future of 2024. You wouldn't really notice. Theres not much difference from today but anyway. The story begins in New York where the city is being attacked by an unknown force. An alien virus is moving from one place to another contaminating people. Little do they know that the virus hibernates small little aliens (kind of like the Aliens movies that we all know). You play a soldier at the beginning before any of these details are known.
