The Martin D 18 acoustic guitar is less expensive than the Martin D 28, D 35, and D 45 - it's FAR less expensive than the D 50 or D 100 - but the Martin D 18 may very well be a BETTER guitar than any of it's more expensive cousins.

Before Django it was VERY seldom that the guitar was every played as a lead instrument at all, and Django's style was technically astounding, even were he have had full use of his left hand, which he didn't.
