A film set can be a scary place if you don't have much production experience, if you're not sure of yourself and if you don't understand the "business or politics of film." To be a film director today, you need to know what is expected of you when you begin preproduction; when you step on the set; and when you are in the editing room - and to do this successfully, you need to constantly increase your filmmaking knowledge.
