With self-confidence, motivation to communicate, and constant practice, most people can become successful in learning a second language. Acquisition of a foreign language will then be of great benefit, because it will open doors to new ideas and acquaintances with new people in new countries and cultures. Based on my personal experiences of teaching and learning languages, this hub suggests ten characteristics of the good language learner.
