This article provides the reader with information about the world famous underground gardens found in Fresno, California. The underground garden is the work of Baldassare Forestiere who spent 40 years of his life excavating about 10 acres of underground tunnels and rooms and planting fruits, nuts and vegetables. He began in about 1906 and continued until his death in 1967. It is beautiful place to visit, the gardens are exquisite and a wonder to behold. They are worth the minimal entrance fee.
