Colonies of homeless built shanty homes to dwell in, these shanty's were called Hoovervilles for the Herbert Hoover, the president in office. Today, our Great Recession, caused by the housing bubble burst in 2008, has seen thousands homeless turn to living in tent colonies. Those colonies are called "Obamaville."
