Old Grocery Store Ads Prices from 1957 in Corpus Christi, Texas

My grandmother had saved this old 1957 newspaper clipping with recipes and it also had some grocery store ads and prices which caught my attention. Oh to be able to pay prices like that in this day and age! Cute videos from the 1950's showing ads (mostly in black and white) are also shown in this hub along with the prices of canned goods, fresh produce and other things one could purchase in a grocery store. Enjoy!

His choice to leave a multimillion-dollar football contract and join the military wasn't done for any reason other than he felt it was the right thing to do. The fact that the military manipulated his tragic death in the line of duty into a propaganda tool is unfathomable and thoroughly explored in Amir Bar-Lev's riveting and enraging documentary.

Rolling Stone Records is a hip, edgy record store on the northwest side of Chicago. It's been around since I was a kid, maybe longer, and it's still around today. As a teen, I used to hang out there a lot with my friends. We'd stay there for hours...
