This was written in 1982 at age 25. My heart had ached since I was a little girl of 6, after my mother divorced my brother's and my father. Although she remarried and gave us a wonderful, loving new dad, and later a sister, I pined for my natural father. Not having contact with him, my heart bled and I wonderered if he still loved me. It took me 34 years to finally listen to my heart and find the answer, no matter the outcome.
