66Broken Bridge=Distortion of Sound
A broken bridge will cause the strings on an instrument to be distorted and possibly touch the fret wire. Recently I discovered a broken bridge on my son's mandolin which I did't find until he played after I had changed strings. My son is visually impaired and it was the distortion in sound that made me search and find the cause.
