Traditional culture is that personal relationships begin at a face-to-face meeting and continue from there. This new gaming culture, as shown in my research, is that relationships are forming online. People feel a connection in these games, as they are a common interest. They develop a rapport and do not want to lose the intimacy they are feeling.
