Historical narrative about the tragic disaster caused by the devastating hurricane that struck the middle Keys of Florida on Labor Day in 1935. A rescue train dispatched by the Florida East Coast Railroad was washed off the tracks. Hundreds of lives were lost and the famous "Overseas Railroad" was destroyed. Many passengers of the railroad's last train to Key West were stranded in the wake of the storm and had to return to the Mainland by sea.
